Wyoming Snow and Avalanche Workshop (WYSAW)

At last year's conference, attending WEA members expressed a desire for the conference to be partnered with another organization.  In an effort to meet that need, the 2017 ICOL will be co-locating with Teton County Search and Rescue's (TCSAR) Wyoming Snow and Avalanche Workshop (WYSAW), which is taking place on Saturday, October 28, 2017.

WYSAW is part of the growing movement of regional Snow and Avalanche Workshops offering a full day of educational workshops for snow and avalanche professionals and recreational backcountry users. The event includes a series of presentations and a panel discussion that provide attendees with an opportunity to engage in conversations about risk management, terrain evaluation, snowpack considerations, and more when traveling in avalanche terrain. By partnering with TCSAR, the WEA hopes to connect our membership to new resources and experts, as well as form new relationships with industry professionals. Registration for WYSAW is separate from WEA conference registration.
