Logo Design Contest


Contest is open to current WEA Members.  If you are under the age of eighteen (18), your parents must sign the consent block on the Official Entry Form, to ensure that you have your parent or legal guardian’s permission.


To enter the contest, eligible participants must:

  1. Be current WEA Members.
  2. Download and complete the Official Entry Form, available for download here.
  3. Create and submit up to two (2) original logo designs.
    1. For purposes of submission, please submit the design in .png, .jpg, or .psd (Resolution of 300 dpi) AND as a .pdf file (less than 10MB).  If the logo incorporates non-standards fonts, you must be able to provide us with the font should your logo be selected.  If you are chosen as a winner, you must be able to provide a high-resolution vector file.
    2. Submissions must be made by e-mail to the WEA Promotions Committee (promotions@weainfo.org).


All entries must be submitted with attached logo designs and completed entry form no later than 11:59 p.m. (Pacific) on February 28, 2017.


Your design should be dynamic, unique, creative, and draw inspiration from or incorporate in some way:

  1. The WEA logo,
  2. The 40th anniversary of the WEA,
  3. 30th anniversary of the conference
  4. Wyoming, the Tetons, or some other feature of the location,
  5. The educational components

The logo may incorporate other imagery, abstract symbols or a catchphrase, so long as the full Campaign name is included somewhere in the logo.  To this extent, the full Campaign name can be displayed in a smaller font size than the main image, if there exists a main image.


One winner will receive a prize package consisting of:

  1. A 50% discounted rate on your 2017 ICOL registration
  2. One (1) commemorative item of your choice emblazoned with your winning logo
    1. Commemorative t-shirt
    2. Commemorative coffee mug
    3. Commemorative hooded sweatshirt
  3. Artistic credit for your winning design on all WEA outlets (newsletter, social media, etc.).

The winning design will be used as the Official Logo for the 2017 International Conference on Outdoor Leadership on October 25 - 27, 2017 in Jackson, WY, including promotional items and on the WEA website.


All entry designs will be screened and those that comply with the Official Contest Rules and have met the guidelines and specifications.

Submissions will be judged and a winner selected by the Board of Directors of the WEA.

The winner will be notified by telephone or email on or before March 14, 2017.
