Experienced ropes course professionals can attend this pre-conference workshop and 'test-out' on their technical skills. This pre-conference workshop will meet the annual requirement for training and certification that many insurance companies require. Be prepared to tie knots, climb, fit harnesses and helmets, inspect equipment, set up and take down belay systems, belay, and discuss! This is a hands-on workshop for seasoned professionals ready to acquire their certification status as a ropes course operator. Certificate letter included.

Speaker Steve Gustafson

Mr. Gustafson is the current President of the PRCA Board of Directors and has served as liaison between the ropes challenge course / canopy zip line industry and ANSI. Mr. Gustafson currently operates a ropes challenge course and canopy / zip line tour business, is a former member of the WEA Board of Directors, and is past recipient of the WEA Dr. Lupton Service Award in 2001.

About the PRCA:

The PRCA is a ropes course challege course governing association established in 2003. Accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the PRCA has undergone public reviews for the current working American National Standard Draft. The purpose of the PRCA is to develop user friendly standards, rope challenge course and canopy tour documents, and to define, document, and outline the construction and operational practices for the ropes challenge course industry.
