The WEA Instructor Training Clinic is a required component of becoming an Certifying (NSP/WSP) Instructor for the Wilderness Education Association. The ITC is designed to give instructors a common background in four areas.
1. WEA History
2. Teaching and Learning Philosophy
3. Course Planning and Management
4. Liason with the National Office
Each student must bring a copy of the 2nd Edition of the Backcountry Classroom. Books are available for purchase below or through the WEA National Office.
Please Note:
This will be the final WEA Instructor Training Clinic offered for individuals submitting Instructor Applications for review under the current Instructor approval system. Completed applications must be in no later than February 28, 2010. If you have questions about your applications please call the WEA National Office.
