Outdoor Recreation & Ski Program Director
Job Description
This job presents a unique opportunity for a creative, energetic individual to develop and implement a family oriented recreation program at a rustic four season Adirondack Mountain resort in upstate New York. This is a leadership position in which the individual will develop and lead a team that assures that guests experience a relaxing, pleasurable vacation. Applicant must be able to work with all age groups and abilities. In winter, individual will manage our thriving cross-country ski business which includes a retail shop and ski school. In other seasons, will develop and implement programs incorporating activities utilizing our lake for swimming, canoeing and kayaking as well as trails for hiking and mountain biking. Starting date and salary negotiable.
Required Experience:
This job would be ideal for an experienced ski professional/college team skier that wants to move up and run their own outdoor center. Experience with water sports, biking, hiking and equestrian programs is a plus. Business experience and/or strong business orientation important.

This Job Requires the Following Skills:
1. Individual will develop and implement innovative family oriented outdoor programming.
2. Must be able to work well independently as well as lead a team.
3. Strong customer service skills and orientation essential.
4. Good business/financial sense necessary; business experience preferred
5. CPR ,WFR and valid drivers license required.
This Job Requires the Following Computer Skills:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required. Ability to learn our reservation and sales software necessary.
Education Required:
Outdoor Recreation degree a plus; experience in field important
