The Bylaws of the Wilderness Education Association are the rules by which the Association is governed. In order for changes to be made to the bylaws, they must first be approved by vote of the WEA membership.
Recently the WEA Board of Trustees recommended several edits to the association bylaws and have been approved to go forth to the membership for a final vote. Some of the recommended edits are to create clarity within the bylaws along with the addition of an entire article to address the WEA Accreditation Council, its function within the WEA and its relationship with the WEA and the Board of Trustees.
As a member of the WEA, this is one way to share your voice and be an active part of the association as we take strides forward together. We encourage all WEA members to take a few moments to log in (required), read about the changes and participate through voting.
Voting is open from September 1, 2010 at 9am EST through October 1, 2010 at 9am EST. All WEA members will receive a Ballot ID via email that will be required to vote. If you do not receive your Ballot ID by 12pm EST on September 1, please contact the WEA National Office.
