Vance G. Martin is President of The WILD Foundation.  He joined WILD as president in 1984, after 15 years in international business and non-profit management.  An innovative leader known for bridging the interests of people and nature, he has worked in over 35 countries, helping establish many non-profits. He serves as board president of Cheetah Conservation Fund and of Friends of Peace Parks, and as a board member of World Wilderness Trust (India), Conservation & Preservation Charities of America, Fulcrum Publishing, and others.  He chairs the Wilderness Task Force of the International Union for Conservation of Nature.  He has edited and authored many books and articles.
