WEA Paul Petzoldt Leadership Award Winner 1999

 

Frank Lupton is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Recreation, Parks and Tourism, Western Illinois University. The Wilderness Education Association was formed by Dr. Lupton as well as Paul Petzoldt, Chuck Gregory, and Robert Christie in 1977.  Much to Frank Lupton’s credit, today the WEA is made up of a number of affiliate programs across the United States, Canada and Mexico and serves as one of the leading conduits for training outdoor leaders.
